Episode 88 with gravel rider Hannah Shell: Fueling during the season, and what she does off-season

In this week’s episode, we talk to gravel rider Hannah Shell about:

  • Becoming a dirt convert – getting into gravel racing post running injury
  • How she fuels on race day
  • How she fuels while training
  • How she spends her off-season

Simply put, Colorado-based Hannah Shell likes to do hard things. She finds life gets easier when she dedicates time and work to every corner of her life. Cycling, on the other hand, requires more than that. For Hannah, she credits the combination of strategy, luck and the art of riding to success. The faster you ride, the harder it gets. She doesn’t consider herself a natural talent on the bike, so she commits to putting in hard work to compete, while loving the humble and hardworking attitude cycling requires. Because success doesn’t come easily to anyone in this sport, she finds that she learns more about herself and life in general as she navigates the ups and downs of competitive racing.
